ACM: CONTRIBUTING TO A CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Founded in 1991 as a recycler of polymers such as polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP), ACM has gradually taken on an important role in the regeneration of LDPE- and HDPE-based byproducts and waste from manufacturing and transformation of packaging film.

In 1993, ACM was the first company in Italy to use its know-how and expertise to recycle production waste and transform biopolymers.

That was the period when traditional polymers were gradually replaced with products with a low environmental impact such as bioplastics which are considered an environmentally friendly alternative to petroleum. What makes bioplastics, most of which are made using vegetable raw materials, so important is that they are biodegradable and compostable: ACM was the first company to decide to recycle them and continues to be a leader in this field in Italy.
